Reopened on 10th August 2016. Built in the 1870's this pub was originally called the Castle Hotel & Tavern. In 1998 it became O'Connors, and in 2001 the Tap & Tankard. It then reverted to The Castle Tavern and in Aug 2016 it became the Castle Alehouse. It is a short walk from Worthing town centre and station. This imposing corner pub is now a genuine free house with regular live music. It has a wooden, L shaped bar. Musical instruments are displayed on a shelf. There is a patio at the back for out door drinking.
