Bar with stripped wood flooring, exposed brickwork and wall art, plus a beer garden and pub grub.
Tucked away near Hove station, nestling among quiet residential streets is The Exchange pub on Goldstone Street. Over recent years, you’d be forgiven for not having noticed it, partly due to an inconspicuous location but also due to an exterior and interior that harked back to days of yore. But not anymore!
Wooden floors, green and bare brick walls, industrial pendant lamps, new furniture and a revised layout has made for a very attractive look for the place. Outside, there’s a lovely al fresco space for soaking up the sunshine, while for the colder months there will be a cosy log burner to keep you toasty. General Manager, Cormac, has brought his love of art to the place, picking out some eye-catching artwork for the walls, as well as installing his own masterpieces about the place.
The pub is offering a great menu, crafted to cater for all tastes and particularly to encourage families and residents to come and enjoy some fresh, home cooked food.
Extensive menu of pub grun, and delicious traditional Sunday roasts, always a vegetarian option.
Live music, every Saturday from 9pm. Free entry!
LOVE SPORTS? THEN YOU’LL LOVE THE EXCHANGE.
We’ve got a plasma screen on the left hand side of the bar to show sports and a large screen which we bring down for national events such as the 6 Nations, the Ashes, Wimbledon and cup finals. Rugby and football are obviously firm favourites but we also show cricket and tennis, the Exchange is the perfect place to tuck into good food with a nice pint and watch the game.
